Horsemanship Academy is a boutique riding school teaching the European traditions of horsemanship in a dreamy California location. Our focus is on the bond between horse and rider, and cultivating in all our riders skills, confidence, and a balance between instruction and independence. Love and respect for animals are paramount for us.
We recently had an amazing opportunity to move to what we think is the most gorgeous horse facility in San Diego county, and we’d love to share this magical place with you.
Our students range in age from 5-67. While we all come from different backgrounds and neighborhoods, we have two things in common: we love horses and we are passionate about riding. Many students make friends they see outside of their riding days as well!
We offer lessons after school on weekdays. Our horses, ponies and instructors have taught hundreds of children and adults to ride. They are trained for English, hunters, jumpers, dressage, Western, gymkhana, bareback, and they are all excellent on trail.
We are a licensed US Pony Club Riding Center, which means both that we are held to their standards of safety and education, and that our students can add on US Pony Club horsemanship and riding lessons, obtain the US Pony Club Ratings, and participate in US Pony Club Rallies and other activities.
If you have your heart set on showing, we can get you there! We attend numerous shows, from walk-trot classes at fun shows to dressage, jumpers and gymkhana!
Don't miss our Halloween Party, complete with a Horse Costume Competition, a Ghost Hunt Trail Ride, and of course buckets of candy!
To schedule a lesson, please text us at (858) 290-8883 or email us at email@example.com. You are welcome to call as well, but phone calls are difficult to return on a regular basis as we are outside with horses all day - this is a challenging environment for phone calls. We are also happy to schedule a time for a phone conversation, just send us a text message or email to do so. A typical week, we check emails once per day Monday through Saturday, and text messages/voicemails before and after lessons each day. Unless there is a major emergency, we do not use phones during lessons, as we want to keep our entire focus on the students.
