Pony Club is the largest equestrian educational organization in the world – and the starting point for an astonishing number of Olympians and equestrian idols. It's the ideal program for riders who want to be fully immersed in horse care, management, and horse sports. The values of safety, sportsmanship, stewardship and FUN translate to every part of a member's life.
Pony Club members participate in activities such as lessons and certifications, rallies and competitions, Championships, and Pony Club Festival. A host of additional programs such as international exchanges, USEF Pony Finals, Dressage for Kids, National Youth Board, National Youth Congress, scholarships, and the Visiting Instructors Program are available to members who develop and progress through Pony Club. Many of our graduates feel that Pony Club helped shape their character and the choices they have made as adults.
How Does It Work?
Members progress through the certification levels. Each level earned requires an increasing depth of knowledge and skills. The highest certification, the “A”, distinguishes the member as an accomplished, professional horseman. We offer ratings opportunities several times per year. We also attend rallies (both mounted and unmounted), clinics and events, an awards banquet for members, and more! On October 22, we are visiting the Longines FEI World Cup Qualifier in jumping, in Del Mar, with members enjoying free tickets and a special meeting with Richard Spooner.
Pony Club for “Outsiders”
We do offer pony club for riders from other properties as well. If you own or lease a horse, you can join our pony club, and trailer in for lessons and pony club meetings. The trailer-in fee is $25 per time to the property owner, and pony club lessons are $60 each when you provide your own horse. Students riding our horses for pony club must also be enrolled in lessons at least once per week.
